Technical Outerwear Sampling RFQ Builder

Find the gaps in your development brief and produce an RFQ that requests material options, MOQ, quotation assumptions and sample milestones.

Make quotations comparable

A technical outerwear RFQ should identify the garment, laminate, seam treatment, insulation, total quantity, size and colour allocation, test requirements, packaging and delivery basis. Ask suppliers to separate garment MOQ, fabric MOQ and colour minimums. Dividing total pieces by colours gives an average only; it does not establish mill or factory feasibility.

Define the sample approval path

Provide a tech pack with measurements and tolerances, sample size and quantity, artwork and reference details. Agree which stages are needed: development sample, fit review, size set and pre-production approval. Ask for sample cost, revision assumptions, material availability and timing after approval.

Price and timing need explicit assumptions

No automatic FOB price, MOQ or lead-time promise is generated. The factory should confirm capacity, material commitments, test cost, quotation validity and the named Incoterm place. Requested delivery dates are buyer requests, not schedule guarantees. Missing items remain visible in the email brief.

Example request

Quote 1,000 pieces of a 3L shell in two colours, XS–XXL, fully seam taped. Confirm material and colour minimums, test-report availability and development-sample timing. Identify outstanding tech-pack details before confirming a production schedule.
